Del Bosque: Ready for Belarus

Vicente del Bosque believes Spain are ready for their imminent Euro 2016 qualifier against Belarus following Thursday’s 2-1 victory over Costa Rica in Leon.

Speaking after the friendly, which La Roja won thanks to goals from Paco Alcacer and Cesc Fabregas, the Coach also condemned the boos directed towards Gerard Pique, gave an update on Aleix Vidal’s injury and singled out the Chelsea midfielder for praise.

“When a Spain player is booed, the whole team are booed,” he said via Spain’s official Twitter feed.

“This game was preparation for Belarus. The bad news was Aleix Vidal’s injury, and he probably won’t play.

“The team are at a good level and proved their competitive spirit.

“Cesc [Fabregas] is a clever player who knows his way around a football pitch and has tremendous talent.”
