Dani Carvajal has played down Gerard Pique’s sarcastic remarks about Real Madrid during Barcelona’s treble celebrations on Sunday.
Pique ‘thanked’ Kevin Roldan, the singer at Cristiano Ronaldo’s now-infamous 30th birthday party in February, for his contribution to La Blaugrana’s historic season, but the right-back took his Spain teammate’s words in jest.
“I don’t consider Pique’s words offensive and I congratulate Barcelona for the season they’ve had,” he said upon his arrival at La Roja’s training camp in Las Rozas.
Carvajal and Pique are both expected to feature in Spain’s friendly against Costa Rica on Thursday and their Euro 2016 qualifier in Belarus three days later.
