Grzegorz Krychowiak and Aleix Vidal both expressed their delight with Sevilla’s 3-0 victory over Fiorentina in the Europa League semi-finals on Thursday.
The pair starred in the first leg against the Viola, with the winger grabbing a brace either side of half-time, and the Poland international was quick to pay tribute to his side’s supporters after the final whistle at the Sanchez Pizjuan.
"[The atmosphere] was incredible – the supporters were fantastic from start to finish,” Krychowiak told UEFA’s official website.
“We are very strong at home because of our supporters and that makes it even harder for the away team.”
Vidal also hailed Sevilla’s fans in his post-match piece, adding: “We were calm because we knew how the fans would respond to the occasion.
“Sure enough, they did what they’ve been doing all season – by giving us this sensational support.”
