Deportivo la Coruna boss Victor Sanchez has warned his team of the dangers posed by Elche on their home ground.
Depor travel to the Martinez Valero on Wednesday to take on an Elche side rocked by the resignation of their President this week amid allegations of financial mismanagement and non-payment of players.
“Our aim is to prepare for this game from a sporting point of view and anything outside that is none of our concern,” Victor told reporters.
“Elche are a very organised, strong side with a defence that doesn’t give away too many chances at home, while they also have Jonathas in attack.
“But it doesn’t stop there because they also have other alternatives. Therefore, we must try to minimise their strengths and take advantage of the few flaws they possess.
“Elche have also had the same coaching staff for some time and you can see that in the way they work.
“Fran Escriba is a great Coach with whom I have a very good personal relationship and you can see his influence on the team.”
