Unai Emery says Sevilla’s clash with Eibar at Ipurua on Wednesday is equally as important as Saturday’s game against Real Madrid.
However, the Los Rojiblancos boss is concerned his players may be suffering from fatigue after four games in 10 days, which started last Thursday in St. Petersburg against Zenit and finishes with Madrid’s visit to the Sanchez Pizjuan this weekend.
“The three points at Eibar are as important as those against Madrid and I don’t want to think beyond that,” Emery told a Press conference.
“We are trying to earn a Champions League place and that will be conditioned by what we do at Eibar. If we don’t beat them our options will be reduced.
“One of the difficulties we face is the accumulation of tiredness after four games in 10 days and we need to manage the players and their recovery well. Hopefully they’ll all be okay.
“There is also the risk of injury and experience tells us they must be looked after,” he argued.
