Athletic Bilbao defender Mikel Balenziaga says his team will be going all out to beat Atletico Madrid on Saturday.
Los Leones dropped two vital points when they drew 1-1 with Real Sociedad in the Basque derby at San Mames on Tuesday night, a result that dealt a blow to their hopes of finishing in seventh place and a Europa League spot.
However, the experienced 27-year-old left-back is refusing to throw in the towel.
“Our aim in the League is to secure that seventh place and we’ll be trying to do that until the end,” Balenziaga told reporters.
“There are still four games to go and we need to take maximum points from them. The first thing is to go to the Vicente Calderon this weekend and win, so we’ll be going all out for it.
“After that Deportivo la Coruna visit our ground and we’ll have to do the same to them.”
