Morales calls for Levante calm

Jose Luis Morales has called on his Levante teammates to keep cool heads as they look to stave off relegation in what remains of the season.

Los Granotes stand just one point clear of the drop zone and the midfielder admits it is going to be a difficult challenge over the next few weeks, although he is confident of achieving some positive results.

“Anyone who plays from now until the end of the season will give his all to get us out of this situation,” the 27-year-old told a Press conference.

“We’ve just had to play a game every two days but the squad is capable of taking on that challenge, which we saw when that happened earlier in the season.

“We just need to remain calm and take things game-by-game.”

Levante face Getafe, Cordoba and Real Sociedad in their next three fixtures and Morales is optimistic about taking points from all of them.

“We have a very difficult three-game series coming up and it’s going to be very tight right up until the final game, but we hope to have secured safety by then so that it will be a party at the Ciutat de Valencia.

“In our last game against Espanyol we knew how to suffer in order to get a point, but people spoke well of us and that gives us hope.”
