Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke says his team are solely focused on beating Real Madrid on Wednesday and not their opponents’ injury problems.
Los Rojiblancos travel across the Spanish capital to take on Carlo Ancelotti’s men in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie, having drawn last week’s first leg encounter 0-0, and Koke insists Atleti are now more than familiar with these big games.
“We are used to playing in this type of match because we’ve now been doing it for three years,” the Spain international told a Press conference.
“Thanks to the good work we’ve done we have been able to win the majority of them and on Wednesday we’ll be focusing on our own work.
“Madrid have a great squad despite their injuries but we’ll be going out to win the game and progress to the semi-finals.
“We only think about the next game and every single one is different, so we’re hoping to get through against Real Madrid.”
