Sergio Garcia believes Espanyol can beat Barcelona in the Catalan derby this weekend. “The team is really excited.”
Espanyol go into the fixture looking to sneak a place in Europe, four points behind seventh-place Malaga and with a better head-to-head record.
“The team is really excited. We’re not going to go pass-for-pass with Barca,” he said, Sport reports.
“We are convinced we can get a good win at home with our fans and we will give everything to make it happen.
“We will not relax [before the end of the season]. We always want the maximum and if the maximum is to be high up the table then that’s what we’ll do.
“Everyone wants to be in the top seven. That would be a very good season. The important thing is that we fight as usual and hopefully we can be there, but there are six games to go and we have to fight in them all to get something good.”
