Bernat: Spain want revenge

Juan Bernat has revealed that Spain want revenge for their World Cup humbling against Netherlands when the two nations clash in Amsterdam on Tuesday.

La Roja endured an embarrassing defence of their title defence last summer, having lost 5-1 to the Oranje in the first match of their Brazilian campaign, before crashing out at the group stage.

"We all know that, after a game like that, there's always desire for revenge," the Bayern Munich left-back said at a Press conference.

"Tou always get a second chance so we're eager for revenge.

"[We spent the 2010 World Cup final] bathing on the beach and partying all night, like all our fellow Spaniards.

"[Xavi Hernandez] marked a successful period in Spain's history and ran the show. Whatever decision he makes for his future will be respected.

"We haven't spoken much about [the differences between our first and second against Ukraine in Euro 2016 qualifying on Friday].

"We all know that we did well in the first half but slowed down a bit in the second because they pressed us a little more, but the most important thing is that we got the three points."
