Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic claimed the half-time break came at a good time for his team in the 2-1 Clasico win over Real Madrid.
However, the Croatian felt the Catalans deserved their eventual victory despite the game having taken many turns.
“The match went one way and then the other but I felt we deserved our win,” Rakitic told reporters.
“I believe we did a great job and that it was a very good game. Before they equalised we could have made it 2-0, but that’s the beauty of football and the half-time break came at a very good time for us.
“God wants us to win the treble but we’ll continue with our feet on the ground and keep working,” he declared.
