Modric: ‘Barca’s second killed us’

However, the Croatian felt his team had the chances to have won the game but eventually had no luck.

“We played well until their second goal and were better than Barca in the first half,” Modric told assembled media.

“We could have scored two or three before half-time but didn’t have any luck. Until the second went in we were playing well both in defence and attack.

“After that we didn’t play well and were unable to maintain our rhythm. Mentally it affected us. We are sad but proud of how we played.

“In our next games we have to play as we did in the opening 45 minutes. We’ve not lost the League and will fight until the end,” he declared.
