Line-ups: Madrid-Schalke

The BBC is still on air as Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo all start for Real Madrid against Schalke in the Champions League this evening.

The trio have come under scrutiny following a poor run of performances, but Coach Carlo Ancelotti has kept the faith in his trident attack, with Alvaro Arbeloa, Fabio Coentrao and Sami Khedira the only newcomers from the 1-0 defeat to Athletic Bilbao at the weekend.

Elsewhere, Luka Modric marks his long-awaited return from a hamstring injury to take his place on the bench, having been sidelined since representing Croatia in mid-November.

Madrid lead the Royal Blues 2-0 from the first leg of their last-16 tie, meaning anything better than a 2-0 defeat will be enough for them to reach the quarter-finals.
