Moyes: Don’t doubt La Real

David Moyes doesn’t want to hear anyone question the capability of his Real Sociedad players, arguing they have recorded some big wins this season.

Moyes was speaking in advance of La Real’s early Sunday game against Sevilla and said that while the club’s main target is to beat the drop, they are looking beyond that as well.

“The players’ ability can’t be doubted because they have won big games,” he argued, AS reports.

“The players showed they can win those matches. This first goal is to avoid relegation but we must also look to the future and plan for next season.

“The next few games will be important to get away from the bottom. We’ve got good morale and confidence.

“It’s always tough to play after a European game [as Sevilla are] and that can help us, but I’m focused on my team.

“We have to maintain the distance to the teams below and we’re still in a position where we can go forward.

“The players have to show the Coach they have the ability to play for this team. We have to give them that opportunity.

“The early game is a bad time to play but more children can come. I think the fans prefer this time than a night game.”
