Khedira to miss three weeks

Real Madrid will be without Sami Khedira for three weeks after it was confirmed the Germany international injured his hamstring against Atletico Madrid.

AS reports that Khedira will miss matches against Deportivo La Coruna, Elche and Villarreal, as well as the return of the Champions League, in which Madrid are to play Schalke.

It’s suggested that Asier Illarramendi will deputise, or, if not, January signing Lucas Silva will be thrown into the mix.

Carlo Ancelotti is already without long-term injury victim Luca Modric, as well as fellow midfielder James Rodriguez.
