Abel Resino praised Granada for an accomplished performance on Saturday after they secured a much-needed 1-0 victory over Elche in La Liga.
Jhon Cordoba scored the only goal of the evening to stop the rot in the Andalucians’ season and move them out of the relegation zone, in what was the side’s first League win since September.
“The most important thing is the victory, the team deserved it and it was necessary to reinforce ourselves and grow,” the Coach said after the game.
“I liked my team’s performance a lot, especially in the second half. Elche disappeared and we gave a good account of ourselves. It was an exercise of control.
“The referee did well. This victory has a special flavour because it was a key win in our fight for survival.
"We went too many games without a win, and it’s difficult for a team to hold out [under those conditions].
“Piti’s an important player both on and off the pitch. He can become a leader for us and had a complete performance.”
