Resino leaves struggling Granada

Granada have parted company with Abel Resino as Coach after Thursday night’s defeat to Espanyol left the team struggling in the bottom three.

Marca reports Resino, who was appointed to replace Joaquin Caparros in January, has been removed from his post as El Grana face the prospect of relegation.

The team is due to train this evening and a successor for the final four games of the season will be named around the same time.

Granada face Getafe, Cordoba, Real Sociedad and Atletico Madrid in the last weeks of the campaign and are second bottom of the table, four points from safety.

Resino took charge of 15 games, taking 11 points from a possible 45, and recorded only two wins – against Elche and Malaga.
