Resino calls for Granada unity

Abel Resino has urged Granada’s players and supporters to come together ahead of Saturday’s encounter with Elche in La Liga.

The Coach earned a 2-2 draw at Deportivo La Coruna in his first match at the helm last weekend, and he is hoping for a better outcome against the Andalucians’ relegation rivals.

“It’s key and fundamental that we get the win against Elche, for the players and the fans,” he mused to reporters on Friday.

“I want us to be courageous, dynamic and have fun on the pitch.  We urgently need a victory so we can take stock and move forward in the future.

“We did good things at Riazor, but we must improve our continuity in the game.

“Sometimes it’s hard to move up the table, although it’s understandable to be trapped by going many games without a win. It blocks your mind.

“The game’s important for both teams. For Elche, a win would also be a plus for them.

“We must live up to the fans’ expectations, they’ll give us their full support.

“The team need it more than ever and will respond to them, so we all have to be at our best and come together.”
