Everton are reportedly interested in bringing Sevilla midfielder Stephane Mbia to Goodison Park on a free transfer.
The former Queens Park Rangers player, who was loaned to the Andalusians for the 2013-14 season before joining on a permanent basis last summer, has a short-term contract at the Sanchez Pizjuan as he wants the opportunity to return to the Premier League.
As a result, the Daily Mail claims the Toffees are monitoring his situation and could be ready to grant his wish with a move in the January transfer window.
The 28-year-old has represented Cameroon over 50 times and has impressed in La Liga, but he is understood to have an agreement in place with Sevilla that would see him leave should a suitable club come along.
Mbia, who began his career in France with Rennes before moving to Marseille, helped Sevilla to Europa League victory last year and was nominated for best African player of the Spanish League.
