Martin Montoya’s agent claims his client’s situation is unchanged despite him playing the full game in Barcelona’s 8-1 win over Huesca.
Montoya is widely expected to leave the Camp Nou in the January transfer window, with a number of English and Italian clubs understood to be keen to sign him after his lack of playing time under boss Luis Enrique.
However, Juan de Dios Carrasco remains unmoved regarding the 23-year-old defender’s circumstances.
“The situation has not changed and the feelings are still the same,” he told La Graderia.
“Whatever has happened for us to reach this point only Luis Enrique knows. Enrique is lord and master.
“The club could see Montoya as an asset but you can’t go against the boss. However, there has never been a problem between him and Montoya, according to Martin, so I have to believe his words.”
