Xabi Prieto has insisted that Real Sociedad have flushed last week's 4-0 defeat at Villarreal out of their system.
La Real face Athletic Bilbao on Sunday in the first Basque derby of the season, and the midfielder is adamant that his side will not make the same mistakes as they did at El Madrigal in the previous round of games.
"It's a special game, so we're very excited," he told reporters at a Press conference.
"It's true that we need to get the points, and we know that we need to play like the best we have at home this season.
"If we give our best performance, we will find ourselves much closer to the win, like we did against Atletico. On our day, we can beat anyone.
"I thought the first half was okay, we were compact and aggressive, but the second half was not.
"After we conceded the first goal, we stopped doing the things we had done so well.
"But yesterday we watched back the video of the game. We analysed all of our mistakes and clearly saw everything we did wrong.
"We need the points as we only have 13 and are down the bottom. No-one expected us to be down there in Week 14.
"When we played at San Mames, Athletic had the advantage, so we should [have the advantage] at Anoeta.
"I think in reality we're the favourites by a small margin, but those are just words. We have to transmit them onto the pitch."
