Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has hailed the club’s record achievement of 16 consecutive victories.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men reached the milestone with a 2-1 win over Malaga at the weekend and Perez could not hide his delight at the momentous landmark.
"Real Madrid and Audi are two institutions obsessed with the pursuit of excellence and perfection. Our teams never give up and aim to lead,” declared Perez at a commercial event at Valdebebas, where the first-team squad were presented with new Audi cars.
“With commitment and a sense of duty we take on the challenge of constantly surpassing ourselves, going into every season aiming to conquer all for our fans.
“This squad has just set a record of 16 consecutive victories in a row for the first time in this club’s 112-year history.
“We’ve never enjoyed a run like this before and these players, the Coach, and the staff, who all realise legends are made through impossible deeds, are doing us proud.”
