Report: Isco & Pique in Spain squad

Isco and Gerard Pique are expected to be named by Vicente Del Bosque in the Spain squad to play Belarus and Germany.

AS reports Isco is to be rewarded for his form with Real Madrid while Pique retains the faith of the Coach despite not playing regularly for Barcelona.

La Roja meet Belarus on 15 November in a Euro 2016 qualifier, to be played in Huelva to commemorate Recreativo’s 125th anniversary, and then meet World Cup winners Germany in a friendly in Vigo three days later.

Dani Carvajal, David Silva and Andres Iniesta are all unavailable through injury while Diego Costa is fit but a battle with Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is expected.

Alvaro Dominguez could return to the set-up in recognition of his form in the Bundesliga with Borussia Monchengladbach but Sergio Ramos’ recovery from injury and Del Bosque’s faith in Pique might lead to Dominguez missing out again.

Rodrigo Moreno and Juan Bernat, who debuted in the last round of international fixtures, are expected to retain their places in the squad, as will Paco Alcacer and Pedro Rodriguez.

There is also a suggestion Fernando Torres, on loan at Milan from Chelsea, will be involved as well as Del Bosque remembers his past contributions to the team.

Del Bosque will reveal his squad for the two fixtures later on Friday.
