Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has admitted he expects a brave Ajax team in their Champions League clash on Wednesday night.
“I expect Ajax to be very brave with a lot of desire and putting us under pressure like in the first match,” he told reporters.
“I saw the match last year [when Ajax won 2-1] but every year is different and there are new players. We will challenge Ajax in a different way.”
Enrique has been subject to questions raised over his team selection and tactics following two consecutive La Liga defeats, yet believes that is part of the job description at the Camp Nou.
“I always feel under pressure at this club, that’s normal, but it’s very important to win in Holland and qualify for the next round.
“The players are very relaxed despite the two losses and we will put pressure on our opponents tomorrow. That’s how we will play.
“I don’t want to change Barcelona’s style because it’s my playing style and, even though results are the most important thing, I’ll continue with my own way and carry on working to improve the players.
“I feel great. We analyse everything and show the players what went wrong and what needs improving, and that’s what we are working on.
“The playing style at this club has proved to be successful and that’s something I want to keep,” he explained.
