Hareide “disappointed” for Malmo

Malmo boss Age Hareide said he was disappointed his team did not get more from the 2-0 Champions League defeat to Atletico Madrid.

Despite having much of the possession, the Swedes went down to goals from Koke and Raul Garcia and the former Manchester City and Norwich City defender was left to reflect on his side’s missed chances.

“We played well and that’s why we are disappointed not to get anything from the game,” he told a Press conference.

“We did really well in the second half and had a couple of good chances, but it’s like that in football and at this level you must be perfect both defensively and offensively.

“Hopefully we’ll learn something from this, although when you have more possession than Atletico then you know you are on the right track.

“We wanted to show that this is our fortress. We paid them respect but also wanted to show we can play football,” he concluded.
