Both Carlo Ancelotti and Diego Simeone from La Liga have been included among the nominees for FIFA World Coach of the Year.
The list of 10 candidates has been made public and was drawn up by experts from FIFA’s Football Committee, along with a group of football specialists from French publication France Football.
The winner will be announced at the FIFA Ballon d’Or ceremony in Zurich on January 12, 2015.
The 10 nominations are:
Carlo Ancelotti (Italy) – Real Madrid
Antonio Conte (Italy) – Juventus/Italy national team
Pep Guardiola (Spain) – Bayern Munich
Jurgen Klinsmann (Germany) – USA national team
Joachim Low (Germany) – Germany national team
Manuel Pellegrini (Chile) – Manchester City
Jose Mourinho (Portugal) – Chelsea
Alejandro Sabella (Argentina) – Argentina national team
Diego Simeone (Argentina) – Atletico de Madrid
Louis van Gaal (Netherlands) – Netherlands national team/Manchester United
