Carlo Ancelotti says he would like to stay on as Real Madrid boss when his contract with the club runs out.
The Italian took over at the Bernabeu in June 2013, replacing Chelsea-bound Jose Mourinho, and signed a three-year deal.
However, speaking to Radio Cope’s ‘El Partido de los 12 programme’, Ancelotti revealed that he would not say no to an extension.
“I’ve spent a year-and-a-half here and it’s going very well. I feel fine with everything and I would like to renew, but there has to be agreement on both sides,” he explained, before being asked if his team selections were ever influenced by the club President.
“I’ve worked with Presidents who are intelligent enough not to ask a Coach to pick one player or another.
“If he [Florentino Perez] ever asked me then I could leave,” he admitted.
