De Gea ‘comfortable’ in Spain goal

David De Gea was left with a good feeling after keeping goal in Spain’s 4-0 win over Luxembourg.

The Manchester United stopper was brought into the team in place of Iker Casillas and, though he had little to do against the minnows, was pleased with the experience of his first competitive start.

“I felt very comfortable with the team. It’s an important victory,” he said, AS reports.

“Gradually you gain confidence and with the encouragement I get, it’s easier.

“The Coach decides who plays. I always come with all the enthusiasm I have to help the team. Iker has congratulated me.

“I was very happy for Diego Costa [who scored his first Spain goal]. It’s important for him to get that thorn out his side.”
