Munir in Spain Under-21 squad

Barcelona forward Munir El Haddadi has been named in the Spain Under-21 squad for the European Under-21 Championships play-off.

La Rojita meet Serbia for a place in next year’s tournament, to be held in the Czech Republic, with the first leg played away from home a week on Friday.

Cadiz hosts the return bout on October 14 and Munir is set to be involved in both games, having played for the seniors in the Euro 2016 qualifier against Macedonia.

Also named in Albert Celades’ squad are Liverpool full-backs Alberto Moreno and Javi Manquillo, the latter at Anfield on loan from Atletico Madrid.

Munir’s Barca teammates Sandro Ramirez, Sergi Roberto and Gerard Deulofeu – currently at Sevilla – are also in the party.

Real Madrid midfielder Isco is picked as well, alongside Atletico’s Saul Niguez and Oliver Torres, who is spending the season at Porto.
