Lionel Messi believes Barcelona can win the Champions League with Luis Suarez in their ranks this season.
Although the former Liverpool player is unable to play until October 25 as he completes a ban for biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini during the World Cup, Messi feels the return of the Uruguayan can help Barca in their aim of regaining the trophy.
“We are excited, eager, because we already have a squad full of very good players. Luis Suarez’s arrival will further strengthen our forward line and hopefully that can help us win the Champions League,” said Messi in an interview with Adidas.
However, the Argentine is aware it is going to be a tough ask.
“We know it’s going to be hard and there will be some difficult times, but I think we can go far.
“The teams [in the competition] are the best, the biggest in the world. That’s why it is so important,” he maintained.
