Atletico Madrid President Enrique Cerezo has claimed that the club will appeal Diego Simeone’s suspension.
The Coach was handed an eight-game ban on Monday after he was sent to the stands during Atleti’s Supercopa win over Real Madrid.
And the Colchoneros leader has insisted that his team will look to have the ban reduced.
“There is a committee that has issued a verdict and there is not much more to say on the suspension," Cerezo told Canal Plus.
“We will now have to wait and see how the appeal pans out. We will appeal the ban because that's common sense.”
