Real Madrid President Florentino Perez doesn’t want the European Super Cup to be the last trophy the club claims this season.
A Cristiano Ronaldo brace delivered the first Cup of the campaign to Los Blancos but with five more to play for, Perez is keen to ensure Madrid don’t rest on their laurels.
He also offered his thoughts on the win over Sevilla, believing the match to be a good sign for the whole of Spanish football.
“It was a party for Spain with two Spanish teams. We’re very satisfied,” Perez said, according to Marca.
“We didn’t play badly for the little time we have been training and we the triumph gives us a lot of hope.
“But what really makes us hope to keep improving is the history of Madrid, not arrogance. So our parents taught us…
