Cuadrado to Barca ‘complex’

Juan Cuadrado wants to leave Fiorentina for Barcelona but the move is said to be anything but straight forward.

Mundo Deportivo report that Barca don’t want to pay the €40m requested by the Serie A side but Cuadrado wants the transfer and has already agreed a deal with the Catalans.

Roma and Bayern Munich are mentioned as also monitoring the Colombia international and Fiorentina have given the Cuadrado camp eight days to generate concrete offers from interested parties.

Fiorentina want the situation resolved next month and Roma are said to be ready to offer €6m and another €4m in bonuses.

Barca would use Cuadrado as a replacement for Dani Alves, who wants to see out his contract before leaving in 2015, although it’s still not certain the Brazil international stays.

Martin Montoya is viewed as the back-up right-back while getting a new centre-back or two has become Barca’s priority, further complicating the move for Cuadrado.
