Diego Maradona has added to the tributes of Real Madrid great Alfredo Di Stefano by describing him as a master.
The 88-year-old passed away yesterday in a Madrid hospital after suffering a heart-attack last weekend.
“For me he was a master, he taught me a lot of things,” Maradona told Telesur.
“I am reminded about him during many moments and the truth is that all of football is in mourning today because a true great has died.
“He wasn’t just a great as a player, but as a person too. As a person he was phenomenal.”
