Chile goalkeeper Claudio Bravo has said he is proud to join Barcelona but says for the time being his focus is on the World Cup.
Barca yesterday confirmed they had signed the 31-year-old from Real Sociedad on a four-year contract and Marca reports Bravo as revealing his happiness at the move.
“I’m very happy and proud because it’s not easy for people from my country to have a good career abroad,” he said.
“It’s a very important step in my career but I take it calmly, and in no way does it distract me from my main goal at this point, which is the match with Brazil.
“There will be time to talk about what La Real meant to me.
“[The move] took a long time with calls and news about my future, so I’m very calm. And now what concerns me is my national team.”
