‘Del Bosque the only choice’

Vicente Del Bosque is still seen by the Spanish Football Federation as the only man to take the national team forward.

The experienced tactician presided over La Roja’s poor defence of their World Cup in Brazil, which ended in Group Stage elimination.

However, Marca report that the mindset of the Federation’s President, Angel Maria Villar, is still the same as it was prior to the start of the tournament.

Del Bosque himself is still thought to be considering his future as boss, but Villar is absolutely convinced he is the only man to lead Spain into the Euro 2016 qualifiers and beyond.

The former Real Madrid Coach took on the La Roja job in 2008 and has since led the team to World Cup 2010 and Euro 2012 triumphs. He has a contract until 2016.
