Bravo: Chile were prepared

Chile goalkeeper Claudio Bravo has said his side were mentally ready to take on and beat Spain in the World Cup last night.

The South Americans took a 2-0 win to send the holders out of the tournament at the group stage and Bravo, who is expected to complete a move to Barcelona shortly, said it was a question of mentality.

“Spain were hurt mentally by the defeat against Holland but we prepared for the game very well,” Mundo Deportivo reports the Real Sociedad ‘keeper as saying.

“I’m happy. We have an historic opportunity. We’ve sacrificed for this kind of thing.”

But Bravo was reluctant to speak about his club future despite widespread reports that he is Camp Nou-bound.

“I’m focused on my national team. There will be time to talk about these things,” he said.
