Chile Coach Jorge Sampaoli says his team cannot think about winning the World Cup any time soon.
The South Americans secured a famous victory against Spain this evening, knocking the defending champions out of the tournament and securing their own passage to the Last 16.
“It seems to me that this group prioritises the collective and that has to be dangerous for anyone,” Sampaoli commented.
“Certain individual details contribute to determine whether the result id favourable or not.
“It was tough to play against a Spain who needed a result so much. This team has found a level of maturity.
“It doesn’t pass through my head at all that Chile could be world champions. We need to go game by game.”
