Vicente Del Bosque has said no one is guaranteed a place in the Spain team at the World Cup.
AS reports the Coach as suggesting there will be a number of changes for La Roja’s next outing, against Chile on Wednesday.
Del Bosque also said the depression brought on by the 5-1 defeat against the Netherlands is wearing off and the chance to put the result right is welcomed by the players.
“Everyone gets better as the hours pass,” Del Bosque said.
“We want to win our next two games. It won’t be easy but it’s possible. We’re preparing well and making sure the players aren’t down. We have to enjoy it.
“Everyone feels that we can get out of this situation. If there are changes it’s not a knock on anyone.
“We will do what is best for the team. Nobody should be alarmed by the changes we make. The team comes before the system.
“There might be two or three changes. This is the situation we’re in and we can manage it. We’re flexible but we can keep some things.
“We have a squad of 23 and they’re all in good condition. We had a great first half against Holland and a terrible second.
“We were down but there’s no problem with desire. That’s football. We have to come back and we have the opportunity.”
Del Bosque added that the criticism levied his and the team’s way has not bothered him, and said that if Spain don’t go through it’ll simply be because they weren’t good enough.
“I don’t get angry these days. Everyone has an opinion and there’s a lot,” he went on.
“If we can’t win it’s because they’re better, and if we lose we’ll be sporting.”
