Maradona hits out at Casillas

Diego Maradona has claimed that Iker Casillas had ‘the worst game I’ve ever seen in my life’ against Netherlands.

Spain lost 5-1 to the Dutch on Friday, with the Real Madrid goalkeeper at fault for at least two of the goals.

And the former Barcelona man has hit out at the Roja captain, and has backed former Blancos boss Jose Mourinho for dropping the shot-stopper back in 2013.

“He had the worst game I’ve ever seen in my life… and it reminds me of what my friend Mourinho said to everyone,” Maradona told Telesur.

“He said Casillas wasn’t the right keeper and he paid for that. He had to leave Madrid, but it turns out he was right.”
