Real Madrid are close to confirming a friendly with Serie A side Fiorentina, to be played in Warsaw.
Marca reports that the match will be held on August 16, four days after the European Super Cup in Cardiff against Atletico Madrid and four days before the first-leg of the Supercopa against Atletico Madrid.
The match is not yet definite but is close to being set in stone and will take place at the Warsaw Stadium, which can hold up to 58,000 fans.
It will be a rematch of the 1957 European Cup final, when Madrid beat Fiorentina 2-0 at Santiago Bernabeu through goals from Alfredo Di Stefano and Paco Gento.
The victory delivered Madrid’s second European Cup in as many seasons and was the second of five trophy wins in a row.
