Louis Van Gaal believes Luis Enrique is a good choice to succeed Tata Martino as Barcelona’s Coach.
The duo worked together at Camp Nou while Van Gaal was boss and Enrique was a player.
Speaking to media sources today, the Dutch tactician praised Enrique’s contribution during his stint at the Catalan giants.
He also believes the former Celta Vigo boss has the passion and intelligence to succeed in his new role.
“Luis Enrique was an important player,” Van Gaal said. “He always played in the number 10 position, which for me is the most important position in Barca’s system.
“He scored a lot of goals for Barca. As a person he is passionate and intelligent too. I think he was a good choice.”
