Sami Khedira and Karim Benzema line up for Real Madrid in the Champions League final while Atletico Madrid have Diego Costa fit.

Benzema was a doubt going into the Lisbon showpiece but has been given the all-clear to play while Khedira comes in for the suspended Xabi Alonso, the Germany international’s third appearance since a November knee injury.

Asier Illarramendi, another candidate to replace Alonso, is among the substitutes.

Pepe however doesn’t feature in the starting XI and is replaced by France starlet Raphael Varane. Fabio Coentrao gets the nod over Marcelo and Iker Casillas retains the gloves, as he has done throughout the Champions League campaign.

There had been concerns in the week over the readiness of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale but both players make the starting XI, as Coach Carlo Ancelotti had confirmed they would at a pre-match Press conference.

Costa was a question mark for Atleti but the Spain international makes it – unlike his Turkey international colleague Arda Turan, who misses out altogether.

Diego Simeone has paired Costa with David Villa and gone for Raul Garcia in midfield with the usual defensive unit of Juanfran, Miranda, Diego Godin and Filipe Luis and Thibaut Courtois in goal behind them.

Real Madrid: Casillas; Carvajal, Varane, Sergio Ramos, Coentrao; Khedira, Modric, Di Maria; Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema, Bale

Atletico Madrid: Courtois; Juanfran, Miranda, Godin, Filipe Luis; Tiago, Gabi, Koke, Raul Garcia; Villa, Diego Costa
