Diego Godin has vowed to do everything he can to win the title for Atletico Madrid, a special club to the Uruguayan.
Godin was speaking after being named the League’s best player for April. He expressed his delight and receiving the award, according to Marca.
“It’s an honour and a source of happiness to be chosen among so many important players,” Godin said.
“We’re used to attackers getting these prizes so for me as a defender it’s an honour.
“[Atletico] are doing very good things and we’ve generated great enthusiasm in the hope of glory.
“Everyone is giving the most they can.
“This is a very special club that makes you feel at home. The people convey hunger to win things.
“We have three finals to play and we will play to the death.”
