Platini: No exclusions for FFP next year

UEFA President Michel Platini has revealed that no clubs will be barred from European competition next season for breaking rules on Financial Fair Play.

Platini has told an interview with Le Parisien, subsequently reported in the British Press, that the list of punishments for next season, the first for which FFP is in effect, will be confirmed at the start of next month.

But the former France international added that while there will be some strict sanctions, no club has been kicked out of the Champions League or the Europa League.

“The first decisions will be announced at the start of May,” Platini said.

“If you are expecting blood and tears you will be disappointed. There will be some tough things but no exclusions from European competition.”
