Pizzi asks for professionalism

Juan Antonio Pizzi has called on his Valencia players to be professional in the game against Osasuna.

Valencia have a Europa League semi-final against Sevilla on the horizon but are unlikely to return to the competition next year through their League placing.

“You have to be professional and perform regardless of the conditions of every game,” Pizzi said at a pre-match Press conference, Marca has reported.

“I don’t like the idea the team’s performance is based on motivation. It’s a weak foundation that is diluted when for some reason the game doesn’t have much stimulus.

“Let’s see if we can put a bit of pressure on the other teams to reach the Europa League, despite the difficulty.”

Valencia are currently eighth in La Liga, eight points behind sixth-placed Villarreal with five games to play.
