Jemez wants top 10 finish

Paco Jemez has admitted that after Rayo Vallecano’s 3-0 in over Celta Vigo, the objective has switched from safety to top 10.

The Franjirrojos beat the Celestes on Saturday evening to move on to 36 points and 11th in the table.

And the Coach has conceded that the season’s objectives have changed after an amazing run.

“We are very close to salvation but right now this is the least of my worries,” he told a Press conference.

“I’m more concerned about having a good season. We are in a positive position and we want to finish in the top 10 – that’s the objective.

“One more win will mean we’re safe, but we want more than that. Between now and the end of the season we want to keep climbing.

“If we can keep us this intensity and play with the same confidence then we’re a tough opponent for any side.”
