Bernd Schuster has conceded that ‘luck’ was a major player in his Malaga side beating Real Betis on Monday.
The Costa del Sol outfit came from behind to beat the Verdiblancos 2-1, scoring both goals in the last 10 minutes.
And the German Coach admitted that his men were fortunate despite their good performance.
“Luck was on our side this evening,” he told a Press conference.
“Difficult matches like this are great to win, having taken a lot of suffering and courage on both sides. We dedicate this win to all the ‘Malaguistas’.
“With the substitutions we made, we were hoping we could equalise.
“That was our obligation tonight. The changes gave the team new life on the pitch and we were rewarded for our hard work.
“We showed we were capable of turning the match around and take home a very important victory.
“We need to fight for each and every point, and I hope our winning streak in away games will rub off at home and we can return to victory at our own ground.
“This win was crucial for us tonight in order to remain in the same part of the table, but we’ve still got a lot of work to do.”
