Koke is eager to get Atletico Madrid’s Champions League quarter-final with Barcelona underway.

The midfielder told reporters that while he expects the game to be very difficult, the prestige of playing in the latter stages of the competition is a thrill.

“We're really looking forward to it. It's the Champions League quarterfinals, and they don't come around every day,” Koke said.

“They're a tough opponent, but in the quarters we knew we'd have a hard game. We will see how we get on in the game.

“We will try to fight, and have two great games. We have played three great games against them this season in the Supercup and League.

“They are two nice games, and we'll enjoy them. It's the Champions League quarters, which is something we won't forget.

“We'll try to play a good game, be together and not allow them to dominate play. Getting a goal there would be very important.

“Their style of play is based on possession of the ball. With that they tire their opponents out a lot.”
