Rayo Vallecano Coach Paco Jemez has said that despite a third straight win, his side aren’t safe from relegation yet.
Jemez oversaw a 3-1 win against Almeria on Saturday to follow on from a 3-2 win over Real Sociedad on Monday and a 1-0 victory against Valencia earlier in March.
Rayo are now 16th, with 29 points, three clear of the bottom three, and Jemez insisted at his post-match Press conference that much work still lay ahead.
“I’m happy with the win but no more than at other times,” Jemez said.
“The players know this was an important win but someone has to pour water over the celebrations.
“With 29 points we haven’t reached safety yet.
“But we are in a position to win four straight games, which is something the big teams do.
“Our run of form is similar to last season but beyond the joy of winning, we have to maintain our sanity.”
